Day 1

Arrive the night before for dinner.

Collect your rental bike if appropriate.

Morning: Leave for the impressive dunes of Piscinas which we’ll reach via long winding trails with the sea for a view! On the itinerary we’ll cross through many abandoned mining villages which witness the rosy times of bygone days.

Lunch: Lunch under the bower of Agriturismo Su Trabi: octopus salads, seafood pasta and marinated vegetables are the specialities.

Afternoon: A little rocky road leads you on a tour of the Capo Pecora peninsula: for an incredible view!

Return to the guesthouse/ cottages.

Dine on Sardinian specialities washed down with some local wine, the Cannonau!

Day 2

Morning: Cape Domusnovas, inland by way of intertwining very enjoyable tracks. You’ll think you’re in a real rally!

Lunch: In the restaurant of the cave of Su Mannau, a popular place for pot-holing in Sardinia.

Afternoon: The gentle morning leaves room for a more technically challenging journey this afternoon under the trees, heading back up a dried out stream…

Return to your Agriturismo and your room overlooking the lovely sea…!

Dinner

Day 3

Rest day: Forget your bike for the day to make a few unmissable discoveries…

Morning: Pot-holing in the impressive bottomless pit of Su Mannau and its giant outcrops, which you rode over yesterday!

Lunch: grilled fish overlooking the sea in Portixxeddu.

Afternoon: Change your pace and wander along the beach in Scivu on horseback… the discovery of another rhythm!

Day 4

Morning: You’ll head towards the clear view over the Pan di Zucchero, set in the middle of the sea… have a break at Cala Domestica, an isolated creek where we used to load mined goods onto the boats.

Lunch: Agriturismo Murtas, lost up in the mountains the incredibly welcoming owners offer you their table.

Afternoon: You head up towards the old mines of Arenas and its high dunes. Once again the old infrastructure is testimony to the rich past of the region.

Day 5

Morning: You’ll go up to the heights of Buggerru, don’t forget to enjoy the view of the sea and long beaches before you and the rolling hills and pastures behind you, as far as the eye can see.

Lunch: In Agriturismo Marcarius, the specialities of the house, out of the garden, are a delight: ask Lino (the owner) to take you on a tour of his orange and lemon plantation!

Afternoon: Gentle return journey towards your accommodation, with a few side trips on the sandy tracks which overhang the beaches of Scivu, another delight!

Leave for the airport.
